Ex-Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has seemingly rubbished rumours about a return to the show, saying she just ignores it now!
Having been controversially cut from the series in 2009, Arlene admitted: “I continue to ignore that, I don’t let the word [Strictly] enter...I was going to say my house – but actually I’d say my soul.”
And in an interview with this week's TV Buzz magazine, Arlene hit out at Alesha Dixon's new job on Britain's Got Talent.
She explained: “I only really watched that show once, and that was when Diversity won, and while I’ve never worked with Simon, I do know him of old – from my Hot Gossip days. There’s a story to tell about that, but I’m holding onto it!”
But while a return to Strictly looks off the cards, Arlene did admit she wanted to appear in another BBC telly show.
“I really want to be in Sherlock, I’ve never wanted anything so much. I think I could make a lovely Mrs Hudson – I’d be as batty as ever,” she tells TV buzz.
“I actually gave Lara Pulver (who played the dominatrix Irene Alder in the second series) her first job in the stage show as Grease, she’s a great dancer.”
