Alesha, who left the BBC One dancing show last month after three years as a judge, said she didn't feel guilty about deflecting to ITV.
"I wouldn't use the word guilty because it's the nature of TV," she explained. "I feel sad but in a nice way.
"It was a big part of my life and it'll always be in my heart."
And the chart topping singer admitted she'd yet to talk to her former Strictly Come Dancing judges, but claimed she was hoping to talk about her exit with them over dinner.
Alesha added "I haven’t spoken to any of them but we are going to do dinner. I'm going to miss Bruno Tonioli so much.
"It was a sad feeling but a positive one at the same time."
Britain's Got Talent 2012 airs on ITV1 from April.
