He may have defiantly danced on at the weekend, but Russell Grant could well be forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing over his injured knee. The Strictly star needs an operation to fix damaged cartilage around the joint, which he hurt during rehearsals last month.
But the op would mean he'll have to quit the competition, leaving him unable to walk for weeks, if not months.
An insider told The Sun: "Russell is really in two minds about what to do. He spent a whole day yesterday training without any problems at all. His knee seems to be getting better thanks to the care and attention of the physios he has been seeing and the anti-inflammatory medication he's taking."
"Russell is a huge reason why Strictly is doing so well in the ratings at the moment."
A spokesman confirmed: "We will be seeking further medical advice during the week before a final decision is made on what treatment may be needed."
