Axed Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Lobb said he is glad to be out of the show, having not realised how much work was required from the BBC One celebrity dancing competition! Speaking after last night's results, the Daybreak presenter added that he was looking forward to see more of his girlfriend.
The telly host was axed after ending up in the bottom two alongside Nancy Dell'Olio after the public votes were added to the judges' scores.
He said: "You don't have to be a mathematician to work out how many hours in the day I was doing and how tough it was. I was the only person getting up at half past three and then doing a full day afterwards."
Speaking to The Sun, the hunky TV personality added: "I didn't realise all the extra stuff with Strictly, like doing publicity, promotions and filming VTs each week. That hit me quite hard — I was working 65 to 70 hours a week."
Now with more time on his hands, Dan revealed he was looking forward to spending more time with his new girlfriend: "I've been seeing her just over three months. She's been really cool with it and wasn't worried about me working closely with Katya."
