Strictly Come Dancing celeb Nancy Dell'Olio seems to be taking the contest a bit too seriously, reportedly threatening to sue judge Bruno Tonioli after he rubbished her performance on Sundya night's show. The professional dancer joked that it looked as though nancy had drunk "two gallons of champagne" before taking to the dance floor.
Nancy ended up bottom of the scoreboard but managed to survive elimination thanks to the public vote.
And now she's going after the judges for their comments and marks, blaming the poor effort on an injured leg. “She was having trouble walking and her leg was in real pain – but she thought the show must go on, so took to the floor," a friend told the Daily Mail this week.
“To then have Bruno accuse her of being drunk, she found very upsetting. She has considered legal action – but everyone’s been calming her down.”
A BBC spokesperson dismissed the complaints however, saying: “The judges always look to give constructive criticism to all of our dancers and this is often delivered with humour, given that ‘Strictly’ is an entertainment show.
“Bruno’s comments were tongue in cheek and not meant to cause offence.”
