Strictly Come Dancing favourite has apparently been having secret ballroom training for months before the show. Despite both the BBC and the Aussie star himself claiming to have no had formal tuition, The People newspaper claim the soap actor has been getting extra lessons in private.
The BBC claimed: "None of the celebrities in Strictly Come Dancing have had formal training in ballroom or Latin dancing."
But Jason is said to have been getting professional lessons from Shem, a Latin dance specialist, for months before the show.
On Friday Jason said: "I'm ambitious. I wouldn't say I'm necessarily competitive. I don't want to walk out first and I would certainly like to get to Wembley. That would be great.
"I'm just focused on doing the best I can in the competition each week."
A source told the newspaper: "A lot of people on set, including the contestants and dancers, are aware of the extra lessons Jason had been having. You could tell from the first live show. His technique was too good, not that of a complete novice.
"If he would just admit he'd had extra help they may not be as bothered but the contestants are all very ambitious and want to win.
"Some of them feel it is unfair as it could give him an advantage."
The BBC spokesperson explained: "Some of the celebrities will have had dancing experience due to their jobs but none are professional dancers."
