Strictly Come Dancing: Nancy Dell'Olio demands private backstage area

Nancy Dell’Olio (Strictly Come Dancing 2011)

She's only survived one elimination by Strictly Come Dancing 2011 celebrity Nancy Dell'Olio has reportedly demanded a private backstage area. Following claims that her dress was 'sabotaged' during last week's show, Nancy wants to make sure the same thing won't happen again now she's survived the public vote.

It was Edwina Currie who left last night, despite Nancy being rock bottom of the scoreboard after two terrible dances.

Now Nancy wants her own private area to protect her clothing, after her dress was ripped and soaked in water last Saturday evening.

"I didn't give a lot of importance to it but it is still upsetting," she told The Sun. "It was just ten minutes before I went on so I had to go downstairs for the dress to be dried and one side, which was ripped, was a bit too heavy. But it was too late.

"I've heard from dancers that things like this happen in theatre. People can do something with their minds. So I'm more worried about energy and bad vibes."

She added: "I am much stronger. On Saturday I am going to be asked to kept separate. It is possible, why take chances?"
