Alex Jones has reportedly agreed to a £150,000 deal which will see her take part in Strictly Come Dancing 2011. According to the Daily Mirror, the deal will also see the brunette beauty continue as a host on The One Show for another year.
The 34-year-old was first linked to Strictly Come Dancing way back in February.
A source close to Alex told the newspaper: “She’s really enjoying her time at the BBC and has taken to The One Show like a duck to water.
“Alex loves getting stuck in and being offered Strictly is another chance to show how game for a laugh she is. It’s a dream come true and shows how the BBC has great faith in her.”
Alex Jones also hosts the BBC's Let's Dance for Comic and Sport Relief shows, alongside Steve Jones.
A BBC source added: “Alex is exactly what the BBC should be about, developing young talent and turning them into stars.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs from September.
