Strictly Come Dancing 2019 bosses are said to be eyeing up two popstars for this year's new cast.

Boyzone's Keith Duffy and Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton have both been rumoured for this year's show.

They could follow in the footsteps of Steps' Faye Tozer and Pussycat Dolls' singer Ashley Roberts who took part last year.

A source told the Daily Mirror this weekend: “There are a lot of names in the mix for this year’s show and Keith and Natasha are on the list.

"Bosses feel they could be a ratings hit.”

Other rumoured celebs at this early stage include soap actress Michelle Collins, BBC Newsreader Huw Edwards, Happy Mondays performer Bez, model & TV presenter Vogue Williams, TV and radio host Fearne Cotton, who recently stepped down from Celebrity Juice after ten years, X Factor star Olly Murs, BBC journalist Steph McGovern and actress Jodie Comer.

TV and Radio presenter Chris Evans recently claimed he's agreed to take part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 while Alan Carr has said he too has been approached to hit the dance floor.

But someone we definitely won't be seeing on the show is Lib Dem leader Vince Cable.

He previously appeared in the Christmas special in 2010, and there were rumours he could be on this year's cast after announcing plans to step down from his leadership role in May.

But the 75-year-old said: “Love the show but I am nine years older than when I last appeared on the Xmas show, and while this is OK for ballroom it isn’t for Latin."

Strictly Come Dancing will be back on BBC One later this year.

The series typically confirms its line up in August before launching in September.

The Strictly professionals on 2019's line up were confirmed earlier this year.

As was previously announced, Pasha Kovalev is leaving Strictly after eight years. Pasha is the only change to the line up from last year, with no further exits.

Meanwhile, Rylan Clark-Neal has been confirmed a new co-host of spin-off show It Takes Two alongside Zoe Ball.
