It may be a while away but already plenty of celebrities have been rumoured for the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line up.
The most recent series of Strictly ended in December with Stacey Dooley lifting the glitterball.
But even before her victory, show bosses were speaking to potential Strictly 2019 contestants.
Host Tess Daly revealed at the time: “We’ve already been plotting and planning which celebrities are going to be approached next year. People have already been approached for next year.
“I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed.”
So who's on Strictly Come Dancing 2019? No names yet have been officially announced, but here's a round up of the latest rumours...
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line up rumours
TV and Radio presenter Chris Evans claims he's agreed to take part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2019. He told BBC's The One show that he had already said yes to Strictly bosses. "I have said yes," he said. "Everyone puts it off and tries and keep it a secret. No, announce now. We're doing it now."
Chris went on to joke about his reasons for signing up: “I have said yes, primarily because my wife would like to go every week. I’ll be petrified backstage, shaky legs and everything. It’s not about me, it’s about Tash getting in."
Alan Carr has confirmed he too has been approached to join Strictly Come Dancing this year. Comedian and TV host Alan revealed: “They cornered me and said ‘Would you do it?’I would do it but listen, I hate those VTs where they’re like, ‘Hello, we’re doing salsa so we’re off to a dips factory’. Like, what?”
BBC Newsreader Huw Edwards has apparently been asked by Strictly bosses to consider signing up for this year's show. In a chat on Radio 2 with Steve Wright, Huw revealed: “Following my stellar appearance reading out the terms and conditions in early December, where I basically set the British television world alight, I was asked if I’d consider Strictly.
“And I think the answer is, Steve, I’ve come here today for some advice. Despite all appearances, I am quite shy.”
Vogue Williams has been rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing 2019. The model and TV presenter, who recently welcomed her first child with husband Spencer Matthews, is said to be in talks for this year's series according to The Sun newspaper.
Rylan Clark-Neal has been tipped to join the Strictly Come Dancing line up this year. The presenter is arguably in need of a new TV gig after Big Brother was axed by Channel 5 in 2018. And fans hope he signs up to Strictly following a guest appearance on the BBC One show during last year's series. Rylan was in the audience and helped out host Claudia Winkleman with the voting details.
Speaking about the prospect previously, Rylan revealed his celebrity pals were encouraging him to take on the challenge. Rylan said: "I'm being bullied to do Strictly Come Dancing. I'd love to do it but it's a very big time commitment. "
Having recently leaving Celebrity Juice after 10 years on the ITV2 show, TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton has been rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing later in 2019.
Could Olly Murs become the next X Factor star to take part in Strictly? After both Aston Merrygold and Alexandra Burke, Olly has been linked to the dance contest. OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton said: “Olly Murs would be a huge coup and clearly he is in the reckoning."
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 will air on BBC One in the autumn.
