It was Stacey Dooley who won Strictly Come Dancing 2018 this month, beating rivals Ashley Roberts, Faye Tozer and Joe Sugg to lift the glitterball.

And while she may have triumphed, Stacey has revealed it’s all been glam since her victory.

In a post on Instagram, she shared the big downside to the show after spending her first week away from the ballroom.

“So this is the first Saturday in months that I haven’t been dancing,” Stacey said in a video to fans.

She then revealed: “I’ve had a pretty chill day; just been for a facial because my skin’s trashed from all the make-up and fake tan, and bought some flowers.”

Stacey went on to express her gratitude to viewers who had voted her the winner, despite coming bottom of the judges’ scores.

The BBC documentary maker gushed: “I wanted to thank you all, I don’t know whether or not I’ve said properly how made up I am and how grateful I am for all your messages and people stopping in the street telling me I did it.

“I don’t take for granted all that support. I had the best time and, thanks to you lot, it rounded off brilliantly so have the best Christmas and thank you.”

Meanwhile, Stacey has been reacting to THAT unfortunate wardrobe mishap during the final.

On seemingly flashing her knickers to the nation, Stacey laughed: “[It’s] probably no real surprise. I thought, ‘They’re not even fancy, they’re not even lacy’.

“It’s like a built-in body suit, so they’re not even my own knickers.

“I didn’t even realise. I was just, like [doing the steps], and after the girls from wardrobe were like, ‘I’m sorry, you were showing [your pants]’.”

Strictly returns to BBC One in 2019 for a new series while the Christmas special airs December 25 at 5:30PM.
