Former Eastenders actress Anita Dobson has been approached by Strictly Come Dancing for the new series, according to tabloid reports. The 62-year-old played Angie Watts in the BBC One soap back in 1985 and hooked viewers with her fiery marriage to Dirty Den, played by Leslie Grantham.
Antia joins a range of celebs rumored to be joining the series this year, including One Show host Alex Jones and footie star Robbie Savage.
A source told The Sun: "Bosses are really keen on her. Viewers are still fascinated with Anita and her Angie character after all these years. They think she would be great on the show."
A friend of the star however revealed that Antia was still considering the offer. They told the newspaper: "Strictly is a lot of hard work. Anita is still undecided at the moment."
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One in September.
