Strictly Come Dancing Sport Relief special line up

A Strictly Come Dancing Sport Relief special saw a football themed line up of contestants.

A one-off special Strictly charity show aired as part of Sport Relief on BBC One on Friday night.

Footballing stars Alex Scott, Chris Kamara and David Ginola joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing.

Strictly professionals Karen Clifton, Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev were tasked with getting the footballers set for the Strictly dancefloor as they compete for the famous glitterball.

All dances were to World In Motion by New Order - and John Barnes was also there to perform his legendary rap!

Ore Oduba hosted while Strictly judges Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood were judges.

The special was filmed during the Strictly tour earlier in 2018 at Wembley Arena.

After the performances, the judges made a decision together.

And the winner of Strictly Come Dancing's Sport Relief 2018 special was revealed as Alex and Pasha.

"It's amazing, Pasha has been such a great teacher and is so much fun," Alex said.

Sport Relief was once again back for 2018 bringing a bumper night of entertainment, music and comedy to BBC One and for the first time the show aired live from Salford.

The Strictly Come Dancing Sport Relief special aired as part of Sport Relief on March 23 on BBC One.

The mayhem started from 7pm as Gary Lineker, Davina McCall and Ore Oduba welcome viewers. Throughout the night Paddy McGuinness, Claudia Winkleman and Freddie Flintoff will also take on presenting duties as the fun rolls into the early hours.

A host of famous faces came together for the big night of TV with some stepping into new and unfamiliar territory all in the name of entertainment and fundraising.

As well as Strictly, Celebrity Boxing made a comeback. Six fearless celebrities donned their gloves and took to the ring in a series of bouts. Wayne Bridge faced Spencer Matthews, Hannah Spearritt went head to head with Vanessa White and Camilla Thurlow took on Helen Skelton.
