Aljaž Skorjanec and Janette Manrara say Strictly ‘curse’ won’t split them

Aljaž Skorjanec and Janette Manrara have vowed never to the let the Strictly Come Dancing ‘curse’ break them.

Over the years, Strictly has become known for its supposed ‘curse’ which can ruin marriages and break up couples.

However Aljaz and Janette say they’re stronger than any perceived ‘curse’.

Janette told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I trust Aljaz 150 % with my eyes closed.

“In a relationship the most important things are trust and friendship and we have both of those things, I’m a lucky girl.”

She added: “Cheating is non-negotiable. In any way. But I don’t worry about that with Aljaz, that’s for sure.”

Janette says Aljaz is her “dream guy”, even if it wasn’t love at first sight.

The dancer explained: “Because he’s younger than me, and so handsome, I just thought, ‘Oh gosh he’s trouble, there is no way I’m ever going to let myself get involved with someone like that’.

“For a whole year I was genuinely hard to get. I took a lot of convincing from him for me to believe he wasn’t going to break my heart.”

Meanwhile, Janette said there would likely soon be some “baby news” on the way.

She teased: “We both really want children. Oh yes, we’re both really broody – Aljaz and I, we just love kids. He is going to be a great dad.

“We always joke that he will be the one that lets the kids get away with anything – I will have to be the one to set the rules in the house.”

Strictly will return to BBC One later this year.
