Alexandra Burke tells trolls to “go away” after Strictly Come Dancing final

Alexandra Burke has told trolls to “go away” following the end of Strictly Come Dancing.

Alexandra had a tough time on this year’s series, faced with a barrage of nasty comments from some viewers.

And she confessed this week: “Sometimes [trolls] can take a toll on you mentally. But you can’t help reading certain things when you’ve got apps like Twitter and Instagram on your phone.”

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Alexandra added: “It’s just a shame some people can’t see how hard I’m working – there’s nothing fake about that.”

Meanwhile, speaking to the Radio Times, Alexandra said that she wanted to focus on the “positivity” and told the trolls to “go away”.

She said: “I’ve had ups and downs, but I’ve done something that has brought me such joy.

“There is so much more love out there, so I concentrate on that positivity. The trolls can just go away!”

Last Saturday night saw the Strictly final as the couples performing live for the last time with three routines each.

As always judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood marked all of the performances out of 40 but their marks did NOT count for the final.

At the end of the night, Alexandra was on top of the scoreboard with a total of 119 points.

However it was Joe McFadden who won Strictly Come Dancing 2017 in the results show, where viewers had all the power.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One in 2018.
