Ruth Langsford has won the title of first celebrity to get themselves injured on Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
Ruth, who is partnered with Anton Du Beke, has hurt her ankle after just one training session.
“I think I kicked myself," she said. "It’s day one... hopefully things can only get better, not worse."
TV presenter Ruth added: “I am aching in places I didn’t know ached.”
Ruth previously vowed to prove people wrong after she was installed as the bookies' least favourite to win.
"I thought, 'These odds are based on what?' They haven't even seen me dance yet and they think I'm rubbish," she told OK! Magazine. "I thought, 'I'm going to show them - I shall prove them wrong."
She went on: "I’m absolutely going in to this to win it because why would you not? In my diary, all those dates are filled in until I lift the Glitterball trophy.
"There’s no point going into this thinking, 'oh you know I’ll probably go out in week three.' I don’t want to go out, I want to stay, I want to learn all the dances and who knows, I might turn out to be brilliant!"
Meanwhile, Ruth has been getting lots of tips from her celeb pals who have previously taken part in the show.
She revealed: "I was working with Lisa Snowdon recently and she said: 'Make sure you get some blister spray for when you are training because you will get blisters.'
"Alison Hammond also said to me: 'Make sure you wear your shoes in, get them early and wear them around the house with some socks to soften them up a bit.'
"Everyone including Lisa Riley who I work with on Loose Women has said it is the best experience of their lives and just enjoy it which is what I intend to do."
Strictly Come Dancing 2017 will return to TV later this month for the first live show.
