Strictly Come Dancing 2016 - Professional Dancers

Joanne Clifton has quit Strictly Come Dancing as a pro dancer - and here's exactly why.

Joanne is one of three pros to leave Strictly this year alongside Natalie Lowe, who announced her exit earlier this year, and Oksana Platero, who only joined last series.

Current Strictly champion Joanne will return to the Strictly ballroom one last time for the launch of this year's show. She will perform the winners’ routine with her celebrity partner Ore Oduba at the start of the new series.

She said: "Being part of the Strictly experience has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I will miss the show so much.

Now Joanne's winning Strictly celeb partner Ore Oduba has spilled more on her exit.

"I've known about this for a while," he told ITV's Good Morning Britain. "Here is a girl who has achieved such great things in everything she's done; she was world ballroom champion, she won the Strictly glitterball trophy and now she is embarking on a new adventure.

"She is going to be in the West End! She is going to be absolutely smashing it night after night on stage and we are all so proud of her."

He added: "What she has done is so brave, jumping off a great show like Strictly into this new world. We are wishing her all the best."
