TV presenter Kate Humble has revealed she's turned down Strictly Come Dancing.
The host of wildlife shows such as Animal Park and Springwatch had gone to meet with producers but freaked out over the thought of going under a Strictly makeover.
Katie explained this week: “I have been asked before to go on Strictly. I was doing Springwatch at the time and my agent phoned me up to tell me Strictly wanted me to do the show.
"I hooted with laughter at the thought and then went back in to tell the Springwatch team what I had been asked to do. “They looked at me and said ‘you HAVE to do Strictly’. It started to make me wonder if I was being really stupid as it is such a great show."
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I phoned my agent back and told her what everyone had said and we agreed to go to the meeting.
“But when we got to the meeting, the more talk there was of sequins, make-up and Strictly Takes Two, the more I could feel myself pouring with sweat."
Katie said she felt close to having a panic attack "at the thought of wearing make up and dresses" before deciding the show was "just not me"
“There are so many people who love it and get so much out of it but I will stick to animals and being mucky. I am better at that. That’s more my comfort zone," Kate admitted.
Kate is far from the only celeb to turn down the show.
Spice Girl Mel C previously claimed she's been asked every year to take part in the series but always said no.
Chatting to the Daily Star newspaper, Mel C explained: “Strictly is really the only one of those shows that I would consider and I have had a meeting with them – they ask me every year to do it."
“The problem is if you do Strictly it’s so high profile and you’ll find yourself in the sidebar of shame every day.”
She added: “And the money’s s***!”
Strictly will return to BBC One in the autumn.
