The show's presenter told the Radio Times that she's hoping to see a Royal Family member grace the dancefloor, and Camilla is top of her wishlist.
"I'd like a royal. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall," she said at last week's National Television Awards.
Tess claimed that Camilla and her husband, Prince Charles, are huge Strictly fans - and even vote for their favourite contestants.
"She's a big fan of the show. She told me," Daly continued. "They watch religiously, and they vote. They actually vote.
"I can't imagine Prince Charles taking the phone number down and dialling. But yeah, it's wonderful and she's a lovely lady and she enjoys the show, so she'd be good."
While that may be aiming a little too high, Judge Rinder - who took part in last year's series - suggested: "Some of the minor royals would do it for sure."
Referring to the Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall, Tess added: "I think Zara would be wonderful."
BBC bosses may be unlikely to get royalty for Strictly, but it looks like they're not struggling for sporting icons.
Olympian Jessica Ennis-Hill and Paralympian Ellie Simmonds are among the names already tipped for the new series, which won't begin until September.
