TV presenter Mel Giedroyc has turned down a spot on the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 line up.
The ex host of the Great British Bake Off has revealed she was made an offer by show bosses but said no.
"I love watching it so much I almost didn't want to spoil the pleasure by being on it," she told the Radio Times magazine (via BBC News).
Mel joked that she wasn't yet old enough to be the "comedy old bag" on the cast.
"You're not the comedy old bag yet, which would be the joy of going on Strictly," she said. "If I did it, I'd want to be Ann Widdecombe. I'd want to be out there getting the laughs, being dragged around."
Meanwhile, Mel opened up about quitting the Bake Off last year when Channel 4 announced it had purchased the rights from 2017.
"The press were camped out on my doorstep. My eldest daughter actually saw a few of them off, which I was very, very proud of," she explained. "I'm not the kind of person who would court that sort of attention.
"I have a very private existence and I had to slightly clench my buttocks during that."
