Will Young 'edited out' of Strictly Come Dancing after snubbing the final

Will Young was 'edited out' of Strictly Come Dancing's final by 'angry show bosses', it's been claimed.

It was Ore Oduba who won Strictly Come Dancing 2016 last night, beating rivals Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp to the glitterball.

The result was a shocker, with Ore considered the outsider going into the contest having twice been in the dance off.

But on the final night he pulled it out of the bag when the other finalists stumbled, scoring two perfect 40s to top the judges' scoreboard and viewer vote.

The evening saw all of the other celebrities return to reflect on their experiences as well as take part in one last group number together.

However there was absolutely no mention of Will, with his appearance on the show this year erased from history.

It was confirmed that Will had quit Strictly Come Dancing back in October, pulling out after four weeks.

A spokesperson for the BBC announced at the time: "Due to personal reasons, Will Young has decided to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing. The show fully respects his decision and wishes him all the best for the future."

According to The Sun newspaper, Will was given the chance to return for the final but declined the invite.

"Will was asked if he wanted to come back for the final show, but was quick to turn down the chance," a source told the tabloid. "He put a real spanner in the works for the whole show and meant that despite there usually being four finalists there was only three this year.

"It wasn’t like he sustained an injury or gave a proper explanation so the execs were pretty angry with his behaviour and felt like he had let the show down."

Strictly Come Dancing will return for a brand new series on BBC One next year, although we've still got the Xmas special to enjoy on Christmas Day.
