Louise Redknapp almost quit Strictly Come Dancing 2016, it's been revealed.
Her pro partner Kevin Clifton has told how Louise admitted to him that she almost pulled out of the show over nerves.
"Right at the beginning of the series she came in and said to me, 'I nearly didn't do it in the end - I've always wanted to do it but I was really scared of doing it'," he said.
"She said, 'I'll give you my best but I'm probably not going to be confident enough to do any of that jazz hands and thigh slapping stuff'. And I said, 'Unfortunately, Louise, you're partnered with me'. Fast forward to Musicals Week and she's going for it!"
Louise herself confessed she had found the show difficult at times, with a tearful Rumba training session hitting her hard.
She reflected: "I don't cry when I can't get something, I just get on with it, and I thought, 'Wow, this is really affecting me'. I never thought Strictly would affect me like that and I did have a little tear thinking, 'I can't do the rumba!'
"But then of course you get over it and Kevin goes, 'Yes you can, come on, you can do it'. And it was fine."
Now, looking back, Louise is happy to have taken on the challenge and enjoyed every week.
She said at a press conference before the final (via DigitalSpy): "Strictly for me was always about week by week, making the most of it, enjoying it, learning a new dance every week and just really getting back out there and remembering I love performing.
"To take [the Glitterball] home of course would be amazing. But at the same time, Saturday night, I'm so proud to be there. I'm just going to give it my best and enjoy every minute of it."
The remaining three couples will return to the dancefloor in the Strictly Come Dancing 2016 final tonight on Saturday 17th December at 6:40PM.
There is NO results show, either tonight or tomorrow, with the winner revealed straight after the performances.
