Strictly Come Dancing: Anton Du Beke is favourite to replace Len Goodman

Anton Du Beke is the favourite to replace Len Goodman on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel.

Anton could be heading into his final ever weekend on Strictly as a dancer, according to bookies' Ladbrokes.

It might be the final, but the pressing matter of finding a replacement for Len on the judges' panel is still ongoing, however as far as punters are concerned there's only one man for the job, and that's the even money favourite Anton.

Karen Hardy (8/1) finds herself next in line should Anton carry on dancing, or it's 10/1 apiece Ian Waite or Tom Chambers make a return to the show.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Anton's the housewives' favourite, and if there's any one who could attempt to fill the void Len will leave, it's him."

Whether or not Anton does takeover from Len remains to be seen but it's been claimed that producers have already decided on a replacement as head judge.

Darcey Bussell, who is the newest of the four judges, will get the casting vote in eliminations after Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli said they didn't want it.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “The executives would like to see a female in the role, and Darcey has established herself as a major figure on the show.

“They wouldn’t be comfortable bringing somebody in over her head. The job is quite a calm and level-headed one, for which Darcey would be perfect — and the viewers love her.”

For now, Strictly Come Dancing 2016 concludes this Saturday night with the live final.
