Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds has been tipped to appear on Strictly COme Dancing 2017.
The sports star has a number of gold medals to her name, winning consecutive titles in the Beijing, London and Rio Olympics over the past decade.
But could she add the Strictly glitterball to her trophy cabinet next year?
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, show bosses are hoping to get Ellie on the line up for 2017.
Following a visit by Ellie to the show's set last week, a source said: “They wanted to introduce her to the Strictly family and to get a feel for the place and the programme.
“By all accounts she had a fabulous time. It’s early days, but we would love her next year. She is our number one choice by a country mile.”
The tabloid says that the BBC is also keen to get Ellie on board to better represent viewers, with a target of having at least 5% of on air talent made up of "disabled actors, presenters and on-air guests"
The source told the newspaper: “Having a disabled star on a prime time show like Strictly is the most positive message you can send.”
A spokesperson for the BBC said: “We don’t comment on show speculation.”
Other names already tipped for Strictly next year include Olympian Jessica Ennis Hill and comedian Joel Dommett.
But the 2017 show is of course a long way off - we've still got this year's final on Saturday to get through!
