Danny Mac has said he 'didn't realise' he has been top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard.

Danny and pro partner Oti Mabuse, who are the favourites to win, have been top of the judges' scores for the past four weeks.

"I didn't even realise. I had no idea," Danny claimed on It Takes Two. "You just take it one week at a time, I just hope to get all the steps right and not mess it up."

Speaking about the pair's Tango at the weekend, Danny said he feared it would go badly wrong.

"If I'm honest I was terrified, I get so nervous anyway an I was really, really worried about this one," the Hollyoaks told Zoe Ball.

Oti admitted she had similar worries: "I also thought 'Oh my Goodness, we're going to mess it up, he's going to forget and I am going to have to push and pull him across the floor' and he did it with no mistakes and I could not stop screaming."

This week Danny and Oti will be performing TWICE in the live semi-finals.

They'll be dancing the Salsa to the track ‘Vivir Mi’ Vida by Marc Anthony and an American Smooth to ‘Misty Blue’ by Dorothy Moore.

While the celebs may be competing for a spot in the final, there is no rivalry between the pros, according to Oti.

"There is no 'grrr' between us, it's all just love, they're all amazing, they really, really are. It's a good group, I love all of them," Oti said on the BBC Two spin-off show.

The remaining four couples will return to the dancefloor for the semi final of the competition on Saturday 10th December at 6:50PM.

Then on Sunday 11th December at 7.20pm on BBC One one more celebrity will leave the competition in the latest results show.
