The start time for Strictly Come Dancing 2016's Christmas special has been confirmed.

It's the final piece of the puzzle for this year's festive one-off, which will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.

The episode will start at 6:45PM in the evening, the channel has confirmed, following a string of highlights including the Doctor Who Christmas Special, the Christmas Bake Off and Disney's Frozen.

The celebrities line up for the Strictly Come Dancing 2016 Christmas special were confirmed earlier this year.

The pro dancers and pairings for the Xmas one-off have also been revealed by the BBC, ahead of the show on Christmas day.

Six former Strictly celebrities will be taking to the floor for an all-star Christmas extravaganza...

In this year’s Christmas cracker of a show, all six couples will each perform an enchanting and magical routine in a bid to be crowned Christmas champions 2016 and lift the famous Silver Star trophy.

Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the Strictly Christmas Special wouldn’t be complete without the festive foursome of Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and in his last appearance on the judging panel Len Goodman who will all be on hand to bring some joy and festive cheer.

The icing on top of the Christmas cake will be a spectacular music performance from Matt Goss and a special group performance from the Christmas cast of Strictly 2016.

The Strictly Come Dancing special will air Christmas Day on BBC One at 6:45PM.
