The politician bowed out of the contest last night after 10 weeks after proving a fan favourite.
But the public's support wasn't quite strong enough to see Ed into the Quarter Finals.
However it may not be the last we see of Ed...
An insider revealed to The Sun newspaper: “Ed wants to be on the tour and is currently negotiating his price. He has loved his Strictly experience and would like it to continue."
The source claimed: “He’s entertained the nation with his routines and played along with it. Everyone’s seen a different side to him and he’s gone from getting no votes as a politician to the nation backing him week after week.
“Ed’s looking at his diary because he also has lecture commitments and other work to do, but everyone’s hopeful he will sign up.”
The first celebrities taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 live tour were confirmed earlier this month.
Strictly tour bosses announced today that Louise Redknapp, Danny Mac and Daisy Lowe will all be on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour line up next year.
More celebrities taking part in the live show stage next year will be announced in due course.
The Strictly 2017 tour will hit the road early in the Spring with the first performances in Birmingham.
The show will then travel across the UK and Ireland before concluding with a total of 4 days in London at O2 Arena and SSE Wembley Arena in February.
And this latest tour will be extra special as it'll be the landmark tenth year for the show.
