Strictly pro dancer Katya Jones says Ed Balls deserves to win the competition if it's what the public wants.
Politician Ed has proved a divisive contestant on this year's series, so far avoiding the dance off despite almost always landing bottom of the judges' scores.
With bookies making Ed the third favourite to WIN, there have been calls for him to quit but his pro partner Katya says he fully deserves to be on the show.
She said: “Whoever the audience thinks deserves to win, will win. If we went all the way to the final I wouldn’t feel embarrassed because I know how hard he’s worked.
“I don’t think he gets nearly enough credit for his dancing. He’s pretty good.”
Ed agreed, telling It Takes Two last night: "We're just looking forward to the next dance and trying to do our best every week.
"I was not the best dancer in the beginning, I've never done it before. We've tried really hard and we're trying to get better every week and entertain.
"In the end if the public want us to come back, we'll keep coming back."
Meanwhile, Ed appeared to take a swipe at favourite to win Danny Mac, saying: "The show is not about great dancers becoming even greater. It’s about people who have never done it before having a go.
“I was surprised to get past the first week. But I’ve been trying really hard and trying to get through every week."
The remaining six couples will return to the dancefloor tonight, Saturday 26th November at 7pm with the results show on Sunday 27th November at 7.20pm on BBC One.
