Judge Rinder gets tips from Benedict Cumberbatch on Strictly Come Dancing 2016

Judge Rinder has been getting tips from Benedict Cumberbatch on Strictly Come Dancing 2016.

The pair are best friends and Benedict has been giving Robert Rinder some advice off camera.

Judge Rinder teased on It Takes Two: "Sadly he's been too busy to visit but watch this space, who knows. He gave me some advice for my Paso Doble to help me get into the dramatics of it."

"He's just been really lovely. I'm not sure anyone heard his commentary on Radio 1 of my Jive, which was brilliant," Judge Rinder added.

And if you didn't hear that, you can have a listen below..

Meanwhile, chatting on BBC Two tonight, Judge Rinder went on to discuss how he had been suffering from nerves backstage on the BBC One series.

But fortunately his pro partner Oksana Platero has been on hand to calm him down before Saturday's live show.

"The problem is, before you go out there, there are people with cameras asking 'How are you? are you nervous? How will you feel in the dance off?'" he told host Zoe Ball. "I'm a great big nerve. [Oksana]'s doing all sorts of breathing exercises before we dance...

"But after the first few bars the nerves disappear."

This week Judge Rinder and Oksana will be dancing the Salsa to ‘Spice Up Your Life’ by Spice Girls.

Oksana raved: "I love it, and I am a huge fan of the Spice Girls so it's a huge combination of the music and dance I love. "

"It's going to be sparkle everywhere," continued Judge Rinder. "It's so much fun, it's Blackpool and it's got to be big. "

Teasing the pair's routine would have a carnival theme, Judge Rinder quipped: "Who knew that a judge would be twerking."

Strictly Come Dancing is back Saturday night on BBC One.
