It was revealed last night that Ed and pro partner Katya Jones will be dancing the Jive to 'Great Balls of Fire’ by Jerry Lee Lewis
He'll be lowered on to the stage while playing a piano before performing the routine at the iconic Tower Ballroom.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Ed captivated the nation with his Gangnam Style routine last weekend, but this performance will outdo everything he has done before.“There will be impressive pyro as well as the stunt at the beginning - and that’s before Ed has even taken to the stage.
“His dancing has been improving drastically, and everyone will be expecting even more daring moves with Katya. This will be Balls at his greatest.”
Ed’s wife, Labour MP Yvette Cooper, reckons Blackpool will prove a high: “We always thought if you got him to Blackpool, that would be his triumph.
“Blackpool is like his Wembley so I think getting to Blackpool itself is a triumph."
And she revealed how Ed was training up to 8 hours each day on his routine ahead of the latest live show.
But will he be able to out-do his Gangnam Style salsa?
Ed's latest routine has become the most watched of any this year already, despite being performed on the live shows just days ago.
The remaining seven couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 19th November at 6:55pm with the results show on Sunday 20th November at 7.15pm on BBC One.
