Ed Balls' Salsa to Gangnam Style is Strictly Come Dancing's biggest dance this year

Ed Balls' Salsa to Gangnam Style on Strictly Come Dancing 2016 has become this year's most popular routine so far.

After 10 weeks of dances it look Ed's salsa hips just days to overtake them all.

At the time of writing, Ed's Salsa has been watched over 600,000 times on the official BBC Strictly YouTube account, the fifth most popular routine of all time.

Although we should bear in mind that YouTube wasn't even a thing when Strictly first started...

Ed and pro partner Katya Jones performed the Salsa to 'Gangnam Style' by Psy and got a standing ovation, from the audience at least.

The judges didn't know quite what to say.

Darcey Bussell commented: "That will go down in Strictly history."

Bruno Tonioli said:"I feel a bit queasy and queer. It's the best worst dance I've seen."

Craig Revel Horwood added: "Three letters, darling, O M G."

Len Goodman concluded: "I don't think there are words in the dictionary to describe that."

When it came to the scores, Craig gave a 4, Darcey a 7, Len an 8 and Bruno a 6 for a total of 25.

It was enough to keep Ed in that week but he finally bowed out on Sunday evening after ten weeks.

The remaining five couples will return to the dancefloor in a Musicals themed quarter final of the competition on Saturday 3rd December at 7PM.

Then on Sunday 4th December at 7.20pm on BBC One one more celebrity will leave the competition in the latest results show.
