The politician has proved a dance sensation on the show this year with his Salsa to Gangnam Style at the weekend leaving the panel close to speechlessness.
Darcey Bussell commented: "That will go down in Strictly history."
Bruno Tonioli said: "I feel a bit queasy and queer. It's the best worst dance I've seen."
Craig Revel Horwood added: "Three letters, darling, O M G."
Len Goodman concluded: "I don't think there are words in the dictionary to describe that."
When it came to the scores, Craig gave a 4, Darcey a 7, Len an 8 and Bruno a 6 for a total of 25.
It left them bottom of the leader board however the pair once again sailed through Sunday's results show to make the Top 7 contestants.
But it seems that all the effort has knocked poor Ed, who revealed all the non-stop rehearsals had aggravated an old rugby injury.
He spilled to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “You get bashed around.
“There was a point in the cha-cha when Katya wrenched on my thumbs and it was really painful.
"When I was at university I used to play rugby. I had to have my thumbs taped against my hand, which was painful. It’s not bothered me for 30 years, until now."
He quipped: “I’m not saying dancing with Katya is like being in a rugby scrum, but it’s painful.”
Ed will be back this Saturday night on BBC One but will his injury hurt his chances in the competition?
