Strictly Come Dancing 2016 is giving Danny Mac nightmares.
The Hollyoaks hunk has admitted he's been left awake at 4AM panicking over routines and dance steps.
Despite showing confidence on camera, Danny has opened up about suffering from crippling anxiety.
“I’m a great sleeper, nothing wakes me up, so to be woken up at 4am by fear of a Strictly dance is really disconcerting,"he said this week.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's latest live show, Danny continued: "I get really nervous. I don’t show it, but that comes down to the acting and having to perform.
"It’s strange because it comes out of nowhere, but the good thing is that at least I know why I get it. I know it’s because of the dance, as opposed to having anxiety and not knowing why.”
Meanwhile, Danny revealed how he has stood up to show bosses who have wanted him to dance topless.
"They wanted my shirt to go completely open, but I said, ‘no, can we just keep a button done up.'," he told the Daily Mirror of his recent Rumba performance. “And I think it worked better, because I maintained that dignity.
"And also you’re dancing which isn’t the most comfortable feeling anyway, so the last thing you want to do is have your shirt wide open."
“I don’t think having my top off’s going to help me get through, it’s about the dancing," Danny added.
Strictly Come Dancing 2016 is back this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
