Laura Whitmore was close to tears on Strictly Come Dancing last night
Laura and pro partner Giovanni Pernice danced the Samba to ‘Bamboleo’ by Gipsy Kings
Craig Revel Horwood said: "I felt it was looking a little awkward at times, some steps suited you and some weren't so great."
Len Goodman commented: "I'd have liked a little bit more Laura in places a little less Gio. There was a little hiccup.. it don't mater... well, it does I suppose. But after that the choreography was terrific. You're a great dancer well done."
Darcey Bussell added: "It's a shame you lost sync but how you travelled and overall it was very nice."
And Bruno Tonioli concluded: "For me you two were Samba's VIPs and it really sizzled. You put everything into it! There was a tiny mistake but overall you gave everything a Samba should deliver."
After the routine, Laura was clearly disappointed with her performance and told host Claudia Winkleman: "I feel really bad that I messed that bit up... sorry."
As for the scores, it was the pair's best yet as they matched Ore Oduba's series high score with 39 with only Craig holding out from giving a ten.
The pair scored a total of 32, dropping four points from their score of last week and leaving them in the bottom two on the leaderboard.
Online, many viewers were quick to support Laura while others slammed Gio for 'making the dance all about himself'.
"I wish Gio had allowed her to shine as opposed to himself," one fan wrote.
