Laura Whitmore has revealed she's had to have a rather nasty treatment on her ankle injury.
The Strictly Come Dancing 2016 contestant was back dancing last Saturday after being ruled the weekend before with an injury to her foot.
And Laura says science is to thank for helping her to get back to her feet.
"On Friday morning I had a PRP treatment which hopefully will help me heal quicker," Laura explained this week.
She wrote in her blog for Glamour magazine "Basically it's under ultrasound image guidance to get a visualisation of the exact irritable structure.
"The doctor then removes any fluid within the tendon sheath of the one giving me problems, to reduce the friction and ease the pain!
"Then plasma from the blood in my arm is injected into my ankle to speed up recovery. And hey presto! Isn't science great!?"
However even after injections galore, Laura admitted: "On Saturday I was still in a lot of pain but the adrenaline just takes over.
"As I've said we are all suffering injuries and nerves. Getting to dress up in fabulous hair and make up helps take your mind off all the pressure too!"
Despite the pain, Laura topped the leaderboard with her tango and is now well on the mend.
"Can I just say, yesterday for the first time I put on heels again, thank you very much!" she told It Takes Two last night.
Laura continued: "You don't even understand what that meant for me, but as a woman who loves a pair of heels..."
Strictly Come Dancing is back tonight, live from 6:55PM on BBC One.
