Danny Mac has been training for 11 hours a DAY for his jive on Strictly Come Dancing this week.

The dance is always popular with both the viewers and judges as Jay McGuiness proved last year and Ore Oduba confirmed this month.

Ore scored 39 marks for his routine, the highest score of the series so far.

And it sounds as though Danny is going all out to try and do just as good, if not one better.

Danny and pro partner Oti Mabuse will be dancing the Jive to ‘Long Tall Sally’ by Little Richard on the show tomorrow.

"We've done 22 hours in the past two days," Danny said of his intense training for the routine.

He told It Takes Two: "I'm having so much fun with this.

"Doing the jive for 22 hours is a feat on the body. It is hard work, it's not compared to what real people do with real jobs, but in this experience it's been the toughest one physically so far. "

"It's such a fun, cool routine, I'm loving doing it," Danny concluded.

Pro partner Oti added: "I could not be happier. The jive is who he is."

The duo will no doubt be particularly keen to get back up the leaderboard after messing up last weekend.

The pair scored their lowest marks of the series so far - although it was still a solid 30 - after Danny made mistakes in their Halloween routine.

Strictly Come Dancing is back Saturday night on BBC One.
