Former shadow chancellor and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ed about his journey so far in the competition on ITV’s Good Morning Britain today.
And after giving host Susanna Reid a spin, Ed revealed all on THAT lift from last weekend's show.
Talking about his time on Strictly, and what happened during the lift that didn’t go to plan, Ed explained, “It worked every time in rehearsal, it was really solid, and that hold, for whatever reason, we don’t know how, [but] her foot went and pivoted and everyone was worried about me dropping [her] but actually she was totally secure...
"And I still did the turn, thinking I’ve got to come out of this to go into the next move!”
On remaining in the competition for this long, Ed admitted, I’ve expected to be in the dance off every week!... We try and make it fun, and have taken risks.”
He added, “I [don’t think] I’ll get to the end, but I could get to Blackpool, so that’s what we’re going for… I’m taking every dance as it comes!”
Unfortunately for Ed, Blackpool may be just out of reach.
He may have avoided the dance off so far, but Ed’s time on Strictly Come Dancing looks set to be up as he is tipped for the chop this weekend with Boylesports. The ex-politician is the 5/4 favourite to be eliminated as the competition begins to heat up.
Despite his short odds, Ed is not the clear favourite with Daisy Lowe, who narrowly escaped the dance off on Sunday, breathing down his neck at 6/4 to go.
Strictly Come Dancing is back Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One. Good Morning Britain airs weekday mornings on ITV.
