Strictly Come Dancing 2016: Anastacia and Ed Balls favourites to go this week

Anastacia and Ed Balls are the favourites for the axe on Strictly Come Dancing 2016 this week.

While Ed has so far avoided the bottom two, could it finally be his time to go this Sunday?

Well it’s a two horse race for Strictly Come Dancing elimination this week but currently Anastacia is just edging favouritism over Ed. This is Anastacia’s fourth week as the favourite for the chop, having been in the dance off twice now, but while she may be the 2/1 front runner she is by no means the clear favourite.

Ed Balls has been bottom of the leaderboard since week one, but has somehow avoided elimination. The ex-Politician is in the firing line this week as he is hot on Anastacia’s heels at 9/4 to go.

Laura Whitmore is back this weekend, having been out last week due to injury, and can be backed at 11/2 to be eliminated.

Meanwhile Danny Mac is now the Even money favourite to win Strictly 2016 from 6/4 as punters continue to get behind him to win and he currently has very little competition in the betting for the Glitterball trophy.

Ore Oduba has gone from strength to strength each week and was cut to 5/2 from 4/1 after he topped the leaderboard for a second week in a row. Louise Redknapp has lost some support from punters and has drifted to 6/1 from 4/1 as a result, however she remains third in line for the trophy.

Aoife Heffron from bookies BoyleSports commented: “Anastacia and Ed Balls are undoubtedly the weakest dancers, however both have miraculously survived elimination thus far. Ed most certainly has the novelty appeal, but as the celebrities begin to be whittled down it may be time for him to go.

"Punters seem to agree as they lump on Ed’s 9/4 price to go. Anastacia is once again the favourite for the boot but only just at 2/1 and has seen little support from punters so far.”

She added “Danny Mac has shortened further as the favourite to win, despite being overshadowed by Ore Oduba for the past two weeks. Now the Even money favourite, we suspect his price to go odds on this weekend, making him a tough one to catch.”
