Lesley and her pro partner Anton Du Beke were eliminated from the show on Sunday night on BBC One.
The pair were in the bottom two with Daisy Lowe and Aljaž Skorjanec after Saturday night's Tango.
Reflecting on her time on Strictly this evening, Lesley told It Takes Two: "I loved all the dancing, it was really lovely to learn how to ballroom dance. And he's a very good teacher, he's a legend. We did laugh all the time but we did some hard work, I had to whip him into shape."
Anton joked: "It was exhausting! I'm glad she's out quite frankly."
Lesley said she felt she went too soon and took aim at Ed Balls who survived the bottom two again despite ranking bottom of the scoreboard.
She told Zoe Ball on BBC Two: "Listen, it's an entertainment show, you go when you go, that's it. It is what it is. Some people are brilliant dancers, some can't dance for toffee, some can't lift for toffee!"
Lesley added: "We've had a great time, we've really enjoyed it. I've lost a bit of weight, I've firmed up. Now I've got to keep going to dance class to keep the thighs down."
Meanwhile, Anton raved about his time dancing with Lesley: "I've loved every second of it, she's right we've laughed and it's been the most fun. The great thing about Lesley is she was really good about picking thing sup quickly... From my perspective that was joyous."
Lesley concluded: "I think I was hired as the token old one who would get dragged around the floor. People who don't know me, I've worked in this business for 50 years.
"I've done musicals, I am very fit. I don't mean 'Oh, she's fit!' but I'm fit and supple and I can do it, and I honestly have more energy than most people I know.
"I think the time in has proved at least to myself and other people, please don't expect me to be the big blob because that's not who or what I am."
Strictly Come Dancing 2016 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
