Strictly's Brendan Cole has spoken out after being forced to miss tonight's live show.
Brendan had taken time out due to illness in the week as fellow pro Gorka Marquez trained with his celebrity partner Anastacia.
It was announced yesterday evening that Anastacia and Gorka will now perform together live on Saturday night after doctors ruled Brendan too ill to dance.
Speaking on It Takes Two, Zoe Ball read out a statement: "As we know, Brendan has been poorly all week with a chest infection.
"It is now confirmed he is not well enough to dance this weekend with Anastacia. Gorka, who has been training with Anastacia this week, will stand in for Brendan [on Saturday] for their Quickstep."
Zoe added: "Brendan we wish you a speedy recovery and of course good luck to Anastacia and Gorka."
In a statement on his website, Brendan reassured fans he was okay but just needed more time to rest after suffering a chest infection.
He explained: "After visiting my Doctor again, we have unfortunately decided that I will not take part in this weekend's show! Annnoyingly, I'm still not 100 percent (although I do feel much better compared to how I felt earlier in the week).
"So I am to continue resting for a couple more days in the hope I am fighting fit ready for Monday to gear up for next week's Halloween show (my favourite of the series)."
Brendan said he was "very disappointed" to sit tonight's show out but felt it was "wise" to rest more.
He went on: "In some ways, it will be better for Anastacia to do what she has been learning and rehearsing all week with the lovely Gorka. It would have felt quite different for her with a last minute partner swap so at least there are no extra pressures on her shoulders with regard to that.
"It is also great for Gorka who has put in all the hard work with Anastacia getting her up to speed. It's nice that he gets to dance their dance which is now looking great."
Brendan went on to wish Anastacia and Gorka and the rest of the show's team good luck this evening.
"I will be cheering you on from my sofa!" he concluded.
Strictly Come Dancing airs live tonight at 6:35PM on BBC One.
