What's wrong with Brendan Cole? Strictly Come Dancing pro sits out latest live show

Brendan Cole is out of tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2016 and here's all the latest.

Where is Brendan Cole?

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 bosses have confirmed Gorka Marquez will replace Brendan this weekend.

Brendan had taken time out due to illness in the week as Gorka trained with Anastacia.

Gorka had originally been partnered with Tameka Empson but the pair were eliminated a week ago now.

What's wrong with Brendan Cole?

Opening up about his illness, Bredan revealed in the week: "After suffering a pneumonia in February, I guess my lungs were not up to full strength so my immune system wasn't quite ready to deal with what would normally be an innocuous cough."

"Many reports saying that I was rushed to A&E! Far from it, I simply popped down as needed some oxygen and my GP wasn't available at 2am!" he continued, "Turns out my blood/oxygen saturation was 93 per cent so I was probably right to do so."

Don't worry, he's NOT dead

Brendan found himself in the bizarre situation of having to deny he's dead during the week.

Fake articles appeared online on a seemingly mocked up website impersonating the real life American news source CNN.

"Ok...Very disturbing.." Brendan said in a tweet with a picture of the online story. "I have just been informed that I am dead! Horrified & bemused."

It claimed that Brendan had "died in the early hours of Thursday morning" after being "rushed to hospital after Saturday night's show with a chest infection."

Brendan added: "Ps...I'm very much still alive! Holy S***!

"Cnn-channel very wrong on this report thank goodness!"

Will Brendan be back?

He said on Friday: "I am to continue resting for a couple more days in the hope I am fighting fit ready for Monday to gear up for next week's Halloween show (my favourite of the series)."

Strictly Come Dancing is back this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
