Instead, fellow pro Gorka Marquez will be stepping up to dance the Quickstep with the American singer.
A poorly Brendan revealed how Gorka had taken up his role with celebrity partner Anastacia back on Tuesday.
Gorka had originally been partnered with Tameka Empson but the pair were eliminated a week ago now.
The switch came after Brendan was told to rest by doctors after suffering with a chest infection last weekend.
"Brendan's gutted not to be able to dance this weekend," a source close to the pro said earlier today.
A spokesperson for Brendan confirmed he had been told to stay rested by doctors.
"He's resting on doctor's orders but everybody hopes the rest will enable a return to form for Brendan in next week's competition," they commented.
It's the latest in a string of problems for Brendan and Anastacia, who have now been in the dance off twice.
Anastacia previously couldn't perform due to an injury she suffered while Brendan found himself in hospital hours before last Saturday night's performance.
They were in the bottom two for a second time on Sunday night but saved by the judges after dancing their routine again.
Meanwhile, Brendan has had to deny reports he had DIED on Thursday.
'Strictly Come Dancing contestant dies', 'Strictly Come Dancing performer passes away' and 'Brendan Cole dead' were a few of the shocking headlines doing the rounds today.
All fake, we're happy to report, and they were 'news' stories that Brendan was understandably very eager to deny.
One of the fake articles came from a seemingly mocked up website impersonating the real life American news source CNN.
"Ok...Very disturbing.." Brendan said in a tweet with a picture of the online story. "I have just been informed that I am dead! Horrified & bemused."
He added: "Ps...I'm very much still alive! Holy S***!
"Cnn-channel very wrong on this report thank goodness!"
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
