It was confirmed that Will had quit Strictly Come Dancing on Tuesday evening, citing personal reasons.
A spokesperson for the BBC announced: "Due to personal reasons, Will Young has decided to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing. The show fully respects his decision and wishes him all the best for the future."
In tonight's live show, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman confirmed Will's exit and told cameras: "Will if you’re watching we love you and we wish you all the best."
Now Louis Walsh has offered up his opinion on the whole thing, telling the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Let’s be honest, Will is a bit of a diva. He should have stayed – but it’s his decision at the end of the day.”
Louis added to the tabloid: “I’d say Strictly is probably a very tough show – it’s probably taken its toll on him.”
Speaking after his departure, Will told fans in a statement: "Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television.
"I am so grateful to everyone who works on Strictly from the lighting designer to catering to the production team. Strictly truly is the most unique family and I thank them from the bottom of my heart."
Strictly continues Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.
