Strictly Come Dancing 2016: Ore Oduba outdoes Jay McGuiness with AMAZING Jive

Ore Oduba scored the first tens of Strictly Come Dancing 2016 tonight.

Ore and his pro partner Joanne Clifton danced the Jive to 'Runaway Baby' by Bruno Mars.

The fast paced, non-stop performance closed the show this evening and saw the best marks of the series so far.

And the pair bettered Jay McGuiness who seemed to set the standard for the dance last year.

Following Ore and Joanne's performance, Darcey Busell reacted: "How you understand each genre is thrown at you, that's what flabbergasting me. You are one athlete. The standard was so high with jive."

Len Goodman commented: "It was show stopping, jaw dropping, eye popping jive. I thought last week was fanatic, you've had a week... move over, Jay, you've turned up."

Bruno Tonioli declared: "A star is born! You have a runaway hit of a jive as good as any we've seen... you never lost it, you were on it!"

And even Craig Revel Horwood had nothing to complain about, saying: "The game has finally changed, you are the one to beat. I hope Danny Mac was watching that because he's got a big load of competition."

When it came to the marks it was 10s from all of Len, Bruno and Darcey but Craig held back with a nine.

The total of 39 is two marks better than Jay managed to 2015 and the highest score of this year's show.

The pair finished the night on top of the leaderboard and looking in a VERY strong position ahead of Sunday night's results show.

Strictly Come Dancing returns at 7:15PM on BBC one on Sunday evening.
