Zoe Ball has spoken out about Will Young's Strictly Come Dancing 2016 exit.
The former contestant and current host of spin-off show It Takes Two addressed Will's departure last night.
Speaking on BBC Two, she said that the team wished Will "all the best" and confirmed there would still be an elimination this weekend.
"Last night, we received the news that Will Young has withdrawn from this year's Strictly due to personal reasons," Zoe said on the show yesterday evening. "Of course the whole team at Strictly and It Takes Two wish him all the best.
"We're going to miss him. He was so brilliant!
"The competition will continue as normal on Saturday with an elimination on Sunday night's results show. Lots of love to Will."
It was confirmed on Tuesday night that Will had quit Strictly Come Dancing, citing personal reasons.
A spokesperson for Strictly announced: "Due to personal reasons, Will Young has decided to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing.
"The show fully respects his decision and wishes him all the best for the future."
Will hasn't explained exactly why he chose to leave beyond "for personal reasons" and spoke up yesterday morning after speculation in the newspapers.
He said: "Look, here's the thing. I'm absolutely dandy, thanks. It's all very undramatic really.
"I've done my statement and others can say what they want to say. I never read what they say anyhow."
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
