Strictly Come Dancing's Len Goodman 'in backstage bust up with Bruno Tonioli'

Strictly Come Dancing's Len Goodman is said to be fed up of Bruno Tonioli and his flailing arms.

Italian Bruno is known for his flamboyant gestures on the panel and poor Len often pays the price with a hand in the face.

According to The Sun newspaper, there was a bit of a showdown between the pair at the weekend after one hit too many.

“There have been several times this series when Bruno has clonked Len in the face," a source told the tabloid. “But it was the final straw on Saturday after several incidents involving Bruno’s wild arms and Len decided to confront him about it."

The insider claimed: "Len told Bruno to control himself and to stop bashing into him in an exchange off camera.

"Len knows it’s just Bruno’s bonkers personality but he thinks he could end up with a black eye.”

Fortunately for Len he's only got to survive a few more weeks before he's out of the danger zone for good.

Len confirmed earlier this year that the 2016 series of Strictly would be his last on British TV.

Len said: “In 2004, I was asked to take part in a brand new BBC Saturday night show and who would have thought me, old Len Goodman, would still be part of this amazing series more than 10 years on.

"This adventure began when I was 60 and now that I’ve reached my 70s, I’ve decided after this year it’s time to hand the role of Head Judge to someone else."

He added: "It is an honour being part of the wonderful Strictly Come Dancing family and I’m looking forward to my last series very much and to whatever comes next.”

For now, Strictly is back this Saturday night live on BBC One from 6:30PM.
