Tameka Empson has opened up on her Strictly Come Dancing 2016 exit.
It was EatsEnders star Tameka who left in last night's Strictly Come Dancing 2016 results after dancing off against Laura Whitmore.
After Saturday's show Tameka and Laura looked to be in a strong position based on the judges' marks.
However Judge Rinder, Lesley Joseph, Anastacia, Naga Munchetty and Ed Balls all leap frogged the pair once the viewer vote was added, leaving them in the bottom two dance off.
It wasn't a unanimous vote on who to save from the panel - Darcey backed Tameka but Bruno and Craig backed Laura - leaving head judge Len Goodman to decide.
Len said: “In my opinion neither should be in the dance off but that’s the nature of the thing. But I’ve got to go with the couple that I felt did the more polished performance and that’s Laura and Giovanni.”
As a result it was Tameka and her pro partner Gorka Marquez who found themselves leaving the competition.
Appearing on BBC Two spin-off It Take Two tonight, Tameka admitted: "It feels too soon, I've got a lot more to give but you know."
She admitted: "I was surprised [to be in the bottom two] if I'm honest, not being big headed, I really thought I put all the right moves in and being in that character.
"I had a bit of pain in my back but I used that pain to drive through."
Tameka went on: "I was looking forward to the Cha Cha Cha, and also the Rumba, actually I wanted to do that, that was going to be another challenge for me."
She added: "I know I'm not what you would call a dancer but I do put the work in and I thought I gave it my best shot and I didn't want it to be so short."
Tameka concluded: "I'm going to keep dancing, I love it and now I can fling down a paso doble."
Strictly returns to BBC One next Saturday and Sunday night.
