Laura Whitmore has rubbished talk of a Strictly Come Dancing romance with her pro partner.
It took practically days, if not hours, for Laura to be romantically linked to dancer Giovanni Pernice on this year's series.
Even before they were paired up, there was speculation that the two may hook up.
But Laura has insisted their relationship on the show is “completely professional”... and he's too young for her, anyway.
“This whole thing with Giovanni blew up in my face. I couldn’t believe it could all go so wrong, so fast," said Laura, who is five years older than Gio.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, she added: “To be honest he’s far too young for me and even though I’m single I’m still going on a couple of dates when I have the time – but not with Giovanni.”
Laura also spoke out about rumours of tension between her and friend Georgia May Foote, who danced with Gio last year.
The pair went on to couple up but split just before the new series of Strictly kicked off last month.
Laura said: "Georgia – who is a good friend of mine – has been lovely but I felt things had been spoilt before I’d even got a chance to start.”
Last night's Strictly Come Dancing results saw Laura in the dance off where she was saved by the judges as Tameka Empson went home.
Strictly returns to BBC One next Saturday and Sunday night.
