Strictly Come Dancing 2016's results were thrown into chaos at the weekend.
Anastacia and her professional partner Brendan Cole and Kiss FM DJ Melvin Odoom and Janette Manrara were in the bottom two on Sunday night.
Once the judges' marks from Weeks 1 and 2 were combined with the viewer vote, the couples found themselves facing the dance off.
However an injured Anastacia couldn't perform.
On Saturday, she and Brendan had to dance an altered routine at the last minute after Anastacia suffered a painful injury.
"The doctor had advised me to rest after I ripped the scar tissue around where I had my double mastectomy," Anastacia explained.
In the results, at first Anastacia was up for dancing again, telling host Tess Daly: "I'm scared to do it but I will do it. I am scared - that is the honest truth."
However the Daily Mirror reports that Anastacia went on to have a "complete meltdown" behind the scenes.
Filming of the results show - which is pre-recorded - was delayed by 30 minutes as staff tried to sort things out
"Brendan looked really annoyed and the body language between him and Anastacia was very frosty," an audience member alleged. "A female producer went up to talk to him but he wouldn't even talk.
"He was fuming. Anton du Beke had to console him."
In the end there was no dance off as Anastacia was deemed unfit to perform.
Therefore the result went back to the public poll and with the fewest votes, Melvin left the competition.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: "There was no Dance Off tonight due to a confirmed injury. As per the Strictly Come Dancing rules if the Dance Off cannot go ahead then the result reverts to the viewer vote."
Strictly Come Dancing returns net Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
