Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has said that he wants to see Bruce Forysth return to front the show this year, claiming that the 83-year-old presenter "is the show". Speaking on OK! TV, Horwood also suggested rumoured replacement for Brucie, Vernon Kay, wouldn't suit the programme.
Asked by hosts Kate Walsh and Matt Johnson whether he wanted Bruce back on the show this year, Craig explained: "Well I'm hoping that he is. I would not like it to just fizzle out and tail off - I think he is the show.
"There isn't anyone in this country - I think - that can do what he does. He's a song-and-dance man and if anyone was to ever take over, I'd say it would have to be a song-and-dance man."
The 46-year-old Aussie dancer continued: "Is Vernon a bit of a song-and-dance man? I don't think so darling. There's no one that matches to him. You can go through a plethora of stars, people or hosts that could do it but you can't get better than Brucie. He's perfect for our format - absolutely perfect. I would hate to see him go."
